John Charles Eastham, 71, of Waterbury, formerly of Woodbury, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at his home. John was born August 2, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Lester and Verna (Porter) Eastham. He was a computer salesman for various companies. Moving to Woodbury in 1975, John was a volunteer fireman and on the rescue squad with the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department. John was a combat 1st Lt. with the 101st Airborne Division, Bravo Company in Viet Nam, fighting in battles that included Hamburger Hill. He is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Penelope Eastham; his son Jason C. Eastham; 2 granddaughters; his sister, Barbara Eastham Gengel and 4 nephews.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury
Services: Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St.
