John Philip Duffy, 67, of Westside Road died Friday June 20, 2008 at Waterbury Hospital. Mr. Duffy was born January 27, 1941 in New York City son of the late Michael and Mary Anne (Mone) Duffy. He had lived in Inwood, NY, Newtown & Southbury, CT. For over 25 years he was the owner of the Southbury Travel Service and the Laurel Taxi Service. He was an active member of St Teresa's Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Pro Life Ministries and the Brothers of Faith Group. He loved fishing, and was actively involved in the lives of his nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, treating them each like they were his own children.
He is survived by a daughter Margo Colarossi and her husband Greg of Seaford, NY, a sister Margaret (Peg) Daniels and her husband Richard of Woodbury, a brother Michael Duffy of Waterbury; his Godchildren, Michael Duffy, Kaylee Duffy and Emma Kate Duffy; nieces and nephews, Tom, Laurie, Michael, Cathy, Tricia and Teresa, great nieces and nephews, Jade, Kaylee, Meaghan, Siobhan, Morgan, Brian, Aidan, Thomas, Fionna, Emma Kate, Shaelinn, Tobias, Delia and Seamus. He was predeceased by a nephew, Brian Comerford

Services: A funeral mass will be held at St Teresa's Church Main Street Woodbury on Monday June 23 at 10 am. Burial will be held in the New North Cemetery Woodbury, next to his late nephew Brian Comerford and his mother.

Visitation: Friends may call the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School Street on Sunday June 22, 2008 from 6 to 9 pm
