Mr. John N. Cupole Jr., 69, of Oxford died Saturday May 12th at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Alice D. (Broadhurst) Cupole.
Mr. Cupole was born January 31, 1938 in Bridgeport son of the late John and Julia Louise (Haydu) Cupole Sr. He graduated from Roger Ludlow High School in Fairfield before attending the University of Bridgeport where he fell in love with his wife of 41 years. He was self-employed for many years as a computer programmer. In his 50's he went back to school and received his MLS. He worked at the Naugatuck Valley Community College Library until the present day. His hobbies included a great quest for knowledge and sharing it with others, computers, photography and a passion for golf that began in his teens when he began playing as well as caddying.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Charline Cupole and her husband Mike Thorns of Hamden, CT and Kristen Cupole - Arena and her husband Terry of Holliston, MA, a sister Janet Cupole of Fairfield and two nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 16th at 10am at the Oxford Congregational Church, 3 Academy Rd. Burial will follow at the Oxford Congregational Church Cemetery.
