John Barbarisi, 85, of Southbury, CT passed away peacefully at home November 7th, 2014 surrounded by his family. John was born in Paterson, NJ on December 24th, 1928 to the late Joseph and Jessie Barbarisi. He worked as a manager for Colonial Life Insurance Company of America, now known as Chubb and Son Life Insurance. He loved to spend time with family, was an avid golfer, and a dedicated New York Yankees fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Christine; along with three sons and their wives; John and Mieke Barbaris of Woodbury, CT, Dan and Nancy Barbaris of Oxford, CT, and Barry and Claudia Barbarisi of Southbury, CT; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorraine Lang and Norma Cibure. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Gerald, and Roy Barbarisi and his sister Eleanor Paci.
