Obituary

John Joseph Anastas of Woodbury, CT died peacefully in his home, Saturday morning, May 14. A member of the Army Air Corps, John flew P 47s in the European theater. He was a structural engineer who specialized in designing industrial buildings in the Waterbury/Watertown area. John loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, tennis, scuba diving, hiking, canoeing, swimming, and Caribbean vacations. He embraced daily exercise and yoga well into his 90's. He leaves his wife Harriet, of Woodbury, 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great granddaughters. The family would like to thank the caring staff of VITAS.

Funeral: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
