Joanne F. Moryl, of Southbury, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Wolcott View Manor. Joanne was born in Belleville, NJ, daughter of the late Michael A. and Rose Tarantino Finn. Joanne received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education at Montclair State University in NJ and her Master's in Music Education from Manhattan College in NY. For over 20 years she was on the faculty in the music department at Western CT State University and was also a private music teacher. In Heritage Village, she was a member of the board of the Heritage Concert Society and was director of the Morning Musicale. She was a volunteer broadcaster for WMNR radio in Monroe for the last 25 years and was currently the organist at the Christian Science Church in Southbury. Joanne is survived by her sister, Judy Woods and her husband Ed of Southbury; her nephews, Edward Woods and Michael Rivas; her nieces, Robyn Hawley and Kathy Woods and her beloved Bearded Collie, Reggie.
