JOAN F. ZIEHL

Joan Cornelia Fox Ziehl, 80, of Woodbury, Connecticut and Naples Florida died peacefully on March 18, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.

Joan was born July 8, 1932 in New York City to Phelps and Jeannette (VerHoeven) Fox. She was married to Joseph Ziehl in 1950. They lived in New York City until moving to Westport, Connecticut in 1965. In 2007, they moved to Woodbury, Connecticut.

Joan and her husband were partners in a radio production and distribution business from 1963 to 2003. During that time, Joan wrote and performed on thousands of radio spots. She loved skiing and sailing but her passion was her family.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, her four children Joseph, Catherine, Elizabeth Fox, and Matthew, their spouses, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
