Joan Leslie Grayson passed away unexpectedly on December 19th, at Danbury Hospital. Joan was born August 11th, 1938 in New York to the late Harry and Mary (Polly) Oppenheim. She was the beloved wife of Stanley Grayson for 52 years.

Joan graduated from Mount Vernon High School. She was an Executive Secretary to the President of CBS Radio and Television and an Administrative Assistant to the CEO of Rector Mineral International for over 30 years prior to retiring. Joan had been a resident of Mount Vernon (Fleetwood) NY prior to moving to Southbury with her husband to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was actively involved in the Mount Vernon School Board, PTA, and volunteering to help those in need. She was a selfless activist for those less fortunate while still being a full time wife, mother and caretaker for her elderly mother.
