WOODBURY- Mrs. Joan A. Cristofano, 70, of Woodbury, died Friday January 22, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of Russell Cristofano.

Mrs. Cristofano was born April 2, 1939 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Graham) Caperalla. She was a life long resident of Woodbury. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and adored her cats. Mrs. Cristofano enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Ron J. Smith and John C. Cristofano both of Woodbury and a daughter Lisa M. Judson of Melbourne, FL, three sisters, Katherine Orsatti of Wolcott, CT, Ruth Brennan of Waterbury, Dolores Langlais of Hartford, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was predeceased by a son, Robert J. Smith and a sister, Marie Karney.
