Jo Marie Wendel w as born May 16, 1949 in Bridgeport hospital.  She is the daughter of Dorothy Hiller and Joseph Bosco.

She lived in Milford and graduated from Jonathon Law high school. She met and married Thomas Wendel in 1968 and lived in Hawaii where their only child William was born.

They came back to Connecticut in 1970 and lived in Newtown then several years later moved to Southbury, where they have since resided.  Jo Marie worked at TR Paul in Newtown for over 15 years.

Jo Marie and Tom enjoyed long drives, going on cruises , vacations to Pennsylvania and taking their grandchildren on vacation as well.

Jo Marie loved the ocean and sitting on the beach.

Jo Marie was kind to everyone she met and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She will be missed by her husband of 54 years , Thomas Wendel, her son Bill Wendel and daughter in law Jennifer, her 2 grandchildren Maiya and Jack Wendel .  She is also survived by her sister Donna Ginnacola,  several nieces , Karen, Kathy, Jo Marie and Samantha, as well as Denise Wendel Antonowiscz and Jeanette Wendel Bushell.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 P.M. held at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home located 235 Main St. N. Southbury. Burial will take place Tuesday, February 14th at 11 A.M at Zoar Cemetery in Sandy Hook.
