Jeanne V. Hellman, 74, of Hawley Road, died Tuesday November 20, 2007 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of Robert R. Hellman, Sr. Mrs. Hellman was born March 31, 1933 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Kalman and Rose (Byers) Meszaros. She lived and raised her family in Bridgeport before moving to Oxford nearly 30 years ago. Upon coming to the area, she worked for a time at Read's (Jordan Marsh) Department Store in Southbury where she made many good friends. She leaves, besides her husband of 54 years, two sons, Robert R. Hellman, Jr. and his wife, Betsi (Borgnis) Hellman of Oxford and Thomas R. Hellman of Woodbury; and her grandchildren, Katherine A. Hellman and Kala M. Gallop, both of Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 26th, 2007 at 10:00am at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be in the Southford Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday November 25th, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at the funeral home.
