It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Klonis, a cherished member of the Southbury community and a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. Jean, a long-time resident of Southbury, intertwined her life with service, enriching the lives of so many through her unwavering commitment to various organizations.
As a former president of the Southbury Fire Ladies Auxiliary, Jean exemplified leadership and compassion. Her involvement extended to the Church of Epiphany, where she was an active member, board member, and volunteer at their Upper Room Thrift Shop, further showcasing her profound dedication to her faith and community.
Jean was deeply connected to the Region 15 schools and had a longstanding career at Newtown Savings Bank, contributing to the financial well-being of many families.
Jean is survived by her beloved son, Joseph Klonis, and her grandson, Joseph Klonis, Jr. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Leo, who she loved dearly.
