SOUTHBURY- Mrs. Jean S. Gagnon, 85, of Southbury, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of John J. Gagnon.

Mrs. Gagnon was born March 24, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Linn and Gladys (Forbes) Shipman. She was past president of the American Cancer Society, Babylon, NY and attended Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Thomaston.

She leaves a son David P. Butler of Buena Vista, CO and a daughter, Carol McCorkle of Woodbury, a brother, George Shipman of Albrightsville, PA Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury

Services: Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 16, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 505 S. Main Street, Thomaston at 3: 00 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St., is in charge of arrangements.
