Janet Wildman, 94, passed on November 12, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Janet was born in Sharon Hospital on November 21, 1928, she was raised in West Cornwall and graduated Housatonic Valley Regional High School class of 1946. She resided in Washington, CT for over 65 years and was a beloved member of her community. She was the daughter of Donald and Hazel (Wiley) Hedden.

After graduating from college, she worked as a clerk in the Litchfield Superior Court. She was then elected Judge of Probate in the town of Washington, where she served for over 22 years. One of her many duties, included Justice of the Peace, performing countless marriages over the years.

Janet was a strong and compassionate woman who touched the lives of many. She loved all sports, but especially UCONN Basketball, Shepaug Baseball and the Little League Worlds Series. Janet was involved in many aspects of Politics on both a local and state level and in her down time she loved to needlepoint and read. Janet leaves behind her son Philip A. Wildman of Washington, her daughter Sally H. Gorman and husband Hugh of Woodbury, a sister Sue Williams of Niantic, Step-brother Steve (Helen) Hedden, Step-Sister Gail (Richard) Dolan of West Cornwall.
