James A. VanAmburg, 73, of Lakeside, CT, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 19, 2021. "Jim", the son of Robert & Gladys VanAmburg was born in Lynnfield, MA on August 23rd, 1948. Jim has a sister, Barbara and a brother, Robert. He was the youngest of the 3.

After graduating from the University of Bridgeport with a B.S. degree in Industrial Design, Jim pursued a successful career in graphics design and ultimately established his own firm, VanAmburg Design LLC. He created stunning graphics, packaging, logos, & websites, for many companies and organizations. He also developed an expertise in business-to-business marketing, particularly in the metalworking manufacturing sector. Jim loved his work, and "retirement" was an incomprehensible concept to him.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sandy VanAmburg and her two sons; Daniel, and Andrew Partridge, daughter in law; Tania Partridge, granddaughter, Ellie Partridge; as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.

Jim was a man of many words and talents. He had a larger-than-life personality. Some of his hobbies included photography, cooking, music and outdoor activities. But more than anything, he valued spending time with his friends and family.

He was a clever man with a brilliant mind. His legacy and his teachings will live on forever.
