James H. "Jay" Ravenscroft, Jr., 65 passed away April 3, 2021 after a long illness.

Born March 21, 1956 in Naugatuck to parents James H. and Eleanor Ravenscroft. As a youth he was active in scouting; an Eagle Scout and member of "The Order of the Arrow". He worked as a lifeguard at the Woodbury Hollow and served as an acolyte at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Woodbury. Jay graduated from Nonnewaug High School and attended Hartford University as well as, New Haven University.

He was an outdoorsman: a camper, hiked the Appalachian Trail, a rifle and bow hunter, an avid water and snow skier. Additionally, he was a gourmet cook. Jay proudly owned his own business, Ravenscroft Heating & Air Conditioning.

He is survived by his loving parents: James & Eleanor Ravenscroft, his brother Mark Ravenscroft (Debi), his sister Debra Breon (Mahlon), as well as many nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Woodbury, or Woodbury Ambulance Association.

A graveside service will take place April 17th at 2pm New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
