James Loftus, born on August 16, 1958, passed away on November 10, 2024 at his home in Woodbury, Connecticut. He was born in Yonkers, New York but grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. James was predeceased in death by his parents, James and Helen Loftus.

James worked as a fire fighter in Mount Vernon, New York, which was always his passion. It meant so much to him to serve his community. He always said it was the best job in the world.

James is survived by his wife of 42 years, Angela Loftus. He will be missed greatly by his two children Danielle and James also by his son-in-law Michael, and the love of his life, his grandson, Zachary Grayson who loved his Pop Pop. He is also survived by his brother Bruce and sister-in-law Nancy Loftus. He loved Maria and Lino Fuschetto like his own mother and father and his brother-in-law's Frank and Patsy and sister-in-law's Maria and Lina. He also adored all of his nieces and nephews and grand-nieces. James also loved very much his dogs, Lexie who is up in Heaven with him and Sammie.

James loved to golf, fish and just go down to the Jersey Shore.

The Memorial Mass will be held on December 3, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter and Paul in Mount Vernon, New York, 129 East Birch St.
