Obituary

James V. Fensore (86) of Southbury, CT passed away Saturday, October 10th. Jim was born December 27th, 1928 in Bridgeport, CT to parents James V. Fensore Sr. and Marie (Kelly) Fensore. He is survived by his wife Ann of 65 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind, his daughter Barbara Iacurci and her husband Arthur of Trumbull, CT, son David Fensore and his wife Carolyn of New Gloucester, ME, and daughter Carolyn Lariviere of Rome, GA, as well as grandchildren Sarah Fensore, Matthew Fensore, Tanner Lariviere, and Rory Lariviere, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Arthur Fensore, Winifred Fensore, Marie "Babe" Mercaldi, Thelma Bodnar, and Ralph Fensore. Jim graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School as a member of the first four-year class. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. Prior to retirement, he worked at Perkin Elmer in Norwalk, CT for 35 years. Before moving to Southbury, he and his family lived in Newtown, CT for 24 years. Jim was an avid golfer and skier who was able to enjoy both activities well into his 80's.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his name be made to the organization "Food for the Poor" at www.foodforthepoor.org .

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church

Services: The funeral will be held Friday October 16th at 10: 15 am from the Southbury Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St S. Southbury for a mass at 11am.

Visitation: Calling hours will be Thursday October 15th from 3-7 pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson Lovetere, 235 Main St N. Southbury.
