Jacquelyn Marie Frandsen, 92 of Southbury, Connecticut, formerly of Minden Nebraska, went to be with the Heavenly father on Friday, January 13, 2023 peacefully at her home.  Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 24 in Bridgewater, Connecticut.  Services were officiated by Jon Espeland.

Jackie was born on November 12, 1930 in Burwell, Nebraska, to Clarence and Wilhelmina (Bruner) Boettcher.  She loved teaching and spent 28 and a half years as an educator. Her teaching career started at the age of 17 when she began teaching in a one room school house in Garfield County Nebraska.  She attended College at Rockmont College in Denver, Colorado, the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, and Kearney State College. Over the years she taught in Cozad, Minden, and Hildreth, Nebraska.

She married Larry Frandsen on June 5, 1957 at Keane Nebraska.  They had one son, Barry.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and embroidery as well as decorating and reading.  She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Sorority, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a former member of the Cavalry Baptist Church of Torrington, Connecticut.

Jackie is survived by her son Barry and daughter-in-law Audrey of Maine, her brother Fred Boettcher of Vancouver, Washington and her brother Marvin Boettcher of Dallas, Oregon.  She was preceded in death by her grandson Dane, and husband Larry.
