Iris Jeane (Anderson) Jannetty
Mrs. Iris Jannetty, 82, wife of the late John Henry Jannetty, Sr., passed away peacefully on July 20th at the Lutheran Home of Southbury surrounded by her family.
Iris was born in Oakville, daughter of the late Olof and Iris Esquelle Anderson. She was a resident of Southbury for 15 years, formerly of Woodbury for 36 years.
Iris was a mother and grandmother to seven children and fourteen grandchildren; John Henry Jannetty, Jr. (deceased) and his wife Margaretta of Waterbury; their three children Sarah Eshoo and her husband Rob of Watertown, John of Woodbury, and Elisa of Waterbury.Patricia Stancavage and her husband Matt of Plymouth; their two sons Matt Stancavage Jr. and his wife Nancy of Thomaston, Joe Stancavage and his wife Heidi of Terryville. Dick Jannetty and his wife Audrey of Southbury; their two daughters Angela Villadolid and her husband Albert of Soutbury, Erika Jannetty of Woodbury. Denise Shambreskis and her husband Bob of Watertown; their two daughters Kimberly Kelly and her husband Darren of Peabody, MA and Denise Keene and her husband Rob of Watertown. Roberta O'Neil and her husband Thomas of Bethlehem; their two children Katelynd and Sean of Bethlehem. Sandra Baclawski and her husband Scott of Watertown; their two daughters Kristen and Lauren of Watertown. Her youngest daughter Amy Jannetty and family Rose and Heath Thomason of Woodbury. Iris has seven great grandchildren.
Iris is survived by two brothers Richard and Robert Anderson and a sister Eleanor Paige. She is predeceased by three brothers, Carl, Bud, and Bill Anderson; and four sisters, Anna Guilles, Ellen Collins, Olivia McKellar, and Elizabeth Spina.
Iris enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, playing cards, reading, gardening, knitting, and feeding birds and chipmunks. Iris loved devil dogs and Hershey chocolate. But what she is most noted for is her loyalty for the UConn men and women basketball teams for the past 27 years.
Iris's family would like to thank the staff at The Lutheran Home for taking such loving care of Iris.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 26 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Woodbury, 214 Main St. South.
