Ira C. Waters, age 85, of Woodbury, formerly of New Milford, died April 21, 2010. He was the husband of the late Anne E. Waters.
Mr. Waters was born in New Milford, August 17, 1924 a son of the late Ira J. and Bertha Parsons Waters. He attended New Milford Schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He started Waters Construction with his brother Albert and worked as an excavator until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughters, Christine Quartiero and her husband Joseph of Torrington and Leigh Waters of Southbury. He also leaves a daughter in law Patricia Waters, 3 grandchildren, Kelly Sedgwick, Abby Bruzzi and Sara Olofson, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, son, 7 brothers and sisters and one half brother, a brother in law and sister in law.
