Homer C. Shaw, 79, of Williamstown, MA, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in North Adams, MA. He was the husband of Maryellen Hughes Shaw.

Mr. Shaw was born July 5, 1932 in Waterbury, son of the late Homer P. and Evelyn Schneider Shaw. Besides his wife, he is survived by his step children, James R. O'Donnell, Jr. and his wife Heather of Naugatuck, CT, Colleen Doyle of Blandford, MA, William P. O'Donnell and his wife Angela of Northfield, CT and New York, NY, Kathleen Lee and her husband James of East Hartford, CT, and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Connor, Aline, Lillian, Liam and Logan. Cousins, Lois Platt and her husband Joseph of Southbury, CT , Mary Le Manquais of Colebrook, CT , Virginia Fortney of New Britain, CT and Fred Dowd of Wyoming.

Homer served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1954. He was later employed by the State of Connecticut from 1962-1987 at Southbury Training School. Upon retirement, Homer and his wife Maryellen traveled the country for 2 years visiting all of the lower 48 states. He enjoyed old movies, classical music, reading, The NY Times Crossword Puzzles and riding around in his little convertible all over New England.
