Holly Jones, 86 of Southbury, died Friday January 28, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Walter Jones.
Mrs. Jones was born June 20, 1924 in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Harry and Marguita (Mann) Washburn. She has resided in Southbury since 1985, previously living in Brookfield, CT. While residing in Southbury, she was a weekly member of the Southbury Sing-a-Long group at the senior center. She had also volunteered at Heritage Village with the Meals On Wheels, patient transportation and was captain of her cluster. Mrs. Jones had enlisted in the Navy Waves with her best friend and served during WW II. She was particularly fond of doll houses and miniatures.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kim Fiola of Branchville, NJ and Peggy Jones of Woodbury. Also two grandchildren, Lauren Tobin of Santa Cruz, CA and Kristin Janus of Vernon, NJ.

Visitation: A memorial gathering has been rescheduled due to inclement weather to Saturday, February 12th from 2-4 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
