Herbert I. Reichenbach, 93, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019, at Vitas Healthcare in St. Mary's Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary (Duffy) Reichenbach, his daughter Mimi Reichenbach, son-in-law Francis Dunlop and grandson Max Dunlop. Herb was born Dec. 28, 1925 in Bridgeport, CT to Olga (Anderson) and Herbert Reichenbach. He is predeceased by his parents and sister Anne Reichenbach.
Following graduation from Woodbury High School, Herb served in the US navy from May 24, 1944 until he was honorably discharged on May 20 1946. He attended 2 years of University before leaving to work in the automotive industry. He had a keen interest in all things related to cars and racing.
Herb was a very kind man and giving man. He loved his family, many wonderful friends and his community. Herb was a member of the Bethlehem Lion's Club since 1973 and was very active until 2017. He received several awards recognizing his outstanding and dedicated humanitarian services.
Calling hours will be Tuesday March 12, 2019 from 4 – 6 PM with a prayer service beginning at 5:30 PM at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury. Burial will be in the spring.
