IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helene' Marie
Roy
July 2, 1924 – March 1, 2017
Helene' M. Roy, formally a longtime resident of Woodbury, Ct., passed peacefully Wednesday March 1, 2017. She was 92. She was the wife of Joseph A. Roy.
Helene' was born July 2nd, 1924 in Lac Megantic, QC, Canada. She had 16 siblings whom we had many happy summers visiting at the "cottage" on the lake.
She met and married Joseph and moved to Greenwich, CT. They later moved to Woodbury where they owned and operated both the Woodbury Texaco and later the Bethlehem Texaco service stations.
Helene' was a busy mother with nine children where every meal was homemade, from the absolute best breakfast crepes to her delicious desserts, yet she still found time to play on a bowling league with her daughters where she made many friends, she was always happy and would put a smile on your face. She loved to play cribbage and as any one of her children will tell, she usually won. She had an infectious laugh that somehow made losing fun.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Joe and eldest son Jean. She leaves behind her son Roger, his wife Candace who reside in FL., her daughter Claire also residing in FL, from CT her daughter Lorraine and her partner Mike in Thomaston, daughter Leona and husband Spark of Woodbury, daughter Gisele and husband Tom of New Fairfield, son Henry of Waterbury, son Victor of Woodbury, son Harvey, his wife Angelita of Torrington, and daughter in law Neide of Bethlehem. She has 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
We will miss her little song she always sang. Rest in peace, Mother.
There will be a private graveside service for immediate family at the Bethlehem cemetery. Munson Lovetere Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
