Helen Salokas, 93 of Woodside Avenue, died August 14, 2013 at Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the wife of the late George Salokas. Mrs. Salokas was born on January 8, 1920 in Waterbury; she is the daughter of the late Frank S. and Marcella (Valuskas) Bakaitis. Mrs. Salokas had lived in Middlebury since 1942 where she was a member of the Senior Center, a member of St. John of the Cross Church, and a member of AARP of Middlebury Chapter 4960. She also worked the voting poles for the town of Middlebury. She was the past President of American War Mothers Chapter 6 in Naugatuck, a member of the Lithuanian Club of Waterbury, and was a member of Naugatuck V.F.W. post number 1946. Mrs. Salokas is survived by a sister Francis Patasius of Waterbury, as well as, three sons, Gerald (Gary) Salokas and his wife Darlene of Oxford, CT, Gordon (Mike) Salokas and his wife Cindy of Sammamish, Washington, and Glen (Sam) Salokas and his wife Lesley of Woodbury, CT. Helen is grandmother to Lesley Dieffenbacher, Martin, Denis and Erin Salokas. She has one great-grandson, Liam Dieffenbacher. She was preceded in death by another son, George Francis Salokas.

Services: Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 17, at 10: 00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Church, Middlebury. Burial will be in Middlebury Cemetery.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St.
