Trumbull -
Mrs. Helen Lena Richter, 95, formerly of Stern Village died Tuesday February 13th at Danbury Health Care Center. She was the widow of Howard A. Richter.
Mrs. Richter was born August 3, 1911 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Gustave and Bertha (Weiss) Fensky. She resided for 15 years in Southbury before moving to Trumbull where she was a member of the Trumbull Congregational Church and an active member of their Cancer Dressing Group.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur R. Richter and his wife Kelly of Nantahala, NC and Thomas A. Richter and his wife Carole of Woodbury, three sisters, Gertrude Pekar of Trumbull, Freda Dickenson and Amilia Selsky both of Easton, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours and burial is private and at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull Congregational Church, 3115 Reservoir Ave., Trumbull, CT 06611.
