Helen Marker Aguero, 97 of Pomperaug Woods passed away on July 30, 2021.
Helen Aguero was born August 6, 1923 in Yonkers, New York; daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie (Wojtusiak) Marker.
She was educated in Manhattan and lived most of her life in Brooklyn, New York before retiring in 1973 with her beloved late husband at Candlewood Lake in Danbury. Since 1982 she has made her home in Southbury. Helen was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church and volunteered in many service organizations.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert, her five brothers Stanley, William, John, Louis and Joseph, her loving sisters-in-law's Frances, Edith, Rena, Nellie and Dolores, her niece Wilma Harris and nephew Fred Marker both of New York.
Helen was a favorite aunt and gracious hostess who loved entertaining and serving delicious food. She is survived by two nephews and their wives, Robert and Beth Marker of Arizona and Thomas & Barbara Marker of Colorado. She has numerous other family members, many friends at Pomperaug Woods and Sacred Heart Church plus a dear friend Marie Sinopoli and her family of Southbury.
Graveside services will be held at Saint Peter's Cemetery in Danbury at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
