Mr. Harold Theodore Carlquist, Jr., known to all as "Teddy", 75, of Old Waterbury Road died unexpectedly Saturday June 9th at Waterbury Hospital.
Teddy was born January 25, 1937 in Waterbury, a son of Margaret (Toth) Carlquist of Southbury and the late Harold Theodore Carlquist, Sr.
Teddy was a lifelong resident of Southbury who loved collecting baseball cards, weather watching and gardening. An avid Yankees fan, Teddy was a Democrat who had a great sense of humor and loved to travel. He loved outings to Lake Quassapaug and riding on carousels. He enjoyed all music, especially organ music and trips to Radio City Music Hall. He had a unique ability to remember names and birthdays of everyone he met. Teddy was truly a special person who was loved and will be missed by many.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Barbara and her husband John Jenkins Jr. of Bethlehem, 2 nieces, Heather Jenkins Burke, Barbara Jenkins Steneck, 2 nephews Harold and William Carlquist and their families as well as many cousins. Besides his father he was predeceased by a brother, William L. Carlquist Sr. In recent years Teddy was loved and well cared for by his friends and caregivers at Copper Valley Group Home in Cheshire.

Funeral: Church Not Applicable
Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday June 15th at 5pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery, Southbury on Saturday July 14th at 1pm.
Visitation: The family will continue to greet friends after the service until 7: 00 p.m. at the funeral home.
