H. Ronald Krauss, 59, of Woodbury, Ct died suddenly on Wednesday, April 4th at Danbury Hospital. He was engaged to Cate Mulvey. Ron was born on February 11, 1948 in Queens, NY son of the late Herbert and Anna Mae (Nichols) Krauss.
He was employed by IBM for 25 years before working at Green Chimneys in Brewster, NY until his retirement. He was an active member in the Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue organization. Ron was a stellar pool player, enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with his family and many friends. Ron was also an avid fisherman and loved playing softball.
He leaves four children, Scott Krauss of Watertown, Ct., Joy Geraci and her husband Matt of Woodbury, Bridget Krauss of Woodbury, and Brian Krauss of Bethlehem, four grandchildren, Melanie Krauss, Savannah Fish, Sumner Fish and Maylan Hardisty, his brother H. Donald Krauss of Delaware and his wife Kathy as well as several nieces, a nephew, and many dear friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School Street, on Friday April 6th from 5-8pm.
