Gwen L. Morris, of Woodbury, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at The River Glen Health Center in Southbury. Gwen was born October 30, 1930 in Waterbury. She was raised in Waterbury by her late parents, Glenn and Angela Barber Oliver. Having lived in Woodbury since 1953, she worked for William Morrow Publishing in New York City and retired from Braxton Manufacturing in Woodbury. Gwen is survived by a son, Walter Morris and his wife Linda of Waterbury; two grandchildren, Walter and Elysa; an "adopted" daughter, Connie Cole-Ingber of Oxford, a brother, Glenn "Buzz" Oliver and a nephew, Jason Oliver, both of Alvin, TX; and her closest friend, Leslie Lintner. She was pre-deceased by a sister-in-law, Joyce Oliver.
