Obituary

Glory Jayne Marquis Caputo passed peacefully in her sleep on March 2nd at the age of 74.  In this case, one of God's angels was simply sent back to heaven.

Born in Woodbury, CT on May 20, 1947 and graduated from Woodbury High School, class of 1966, Glory's life was one of love, caring, and giving.  She had a wonderful way of making others feel comfortable by listening attentively, not being judgmental, and always looking for a connection.  She found joy in being helpful and giving in whatever way she could to the so many she touched.

Glory held different jobs through the years, as it was very hard for her to not be busy. However one part of her career that she always cherished was becoming a registered nurse's aid while working at Cedar Lane Nursing home.  Her empathetic soul made her the right person to care for those that could not care for themselves.

Glory was an avid animal lover and enthusiast, and very patriotic, as she had a passion for veterans and military personnel which she supported during her time with the Marine Corps League Auxillary & key volunteers.

Some of Glory's favorite things to talk about where her time working at the A&W Root Beer stand, all of her many family and friends, her class reunions and friends she's had since kindergarten, her trip to Saint Johns, how to get a stain out of anything, and the work that went into making her famous Easter meat and rice pies.

Glory will rejoin her mom and dad in heaven, Fred and Dolly Marquis along with her brothers Gene, Terry and Dean.  She leaves behind so many that loved her dearly including her Husband of 46 years, Matthew Caputo, daughter Georgette, son Marc, grandkids Emily, Lila, Rosalie, Melissa, & Tim, Son in Law Danny, Brothers Ricky and Monte, Sisters Deedee and Michele, sister in laws Linnea and Cheryl, and brother-in-law Tommy…and a whole bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Glory filled our hearts and will be missed.

We will honor her life on Saturday March 12th, 2022 from 10:30 – 1:30 P.M with a service at 12:30 P.M. at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, CT.  Glory will be laid to rest during a private ceremony at a later date.  At 2pm all friends, family, acquaintances, and veterans are invited to VFW post 7330 on Davis St in Oakville to celebrate our beloved Glory with stories, pictures, food, and drink.
