Mrs. Gladys E. Sayers, 78, of Bucks Hill Road died Monday December 17th at the Watermark at East Hill after fighting a battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of the late Charles T. Sayers.
Mrs. Sayers was born July 10, 1934 in Bridgeport a daughter of the late Clarence and Rose (Danko) Birmelin. She worked as a secretary at The Stone Construction for over 25 years and was a member of the United Church of Christ in Southbury. She loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She was an avid reader and loved birds.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck Sayers of Southbury, Eric and his wife Leslie of South Carolina, a daughter, Kristine Taranovich and her husband Dan of Southbury and three grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron and Rachel Taranovich. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marian McFarlan and Grace Brant.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Thursday December 20th at 1: 30pm at the United Church of Christ, 287 Main St. North, Southbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
