Gertrude Warren, 95, of 655 Main St. South, formerly of Heritage Village for 30 years, died Sunday, July 8 at her home. She was the widow of Dr. John Warren. Mrs. Warren was born March 6, 1912 in New York City, daughter of the late Isaac and Esther (Buxbaum) Greenberg. Mrs. Warren received a bachelor's of science degree in education from Hunter College. She was an elementary school teacher in Bronx, NY and also taught home-bound students. She loved to knit, travel and was devoted to her family. She is survived by two daughters, Claire Shumofsky of Fairfield and Amy Shapiro of Charleston, W. VA.; 3 granddaughters and 4 great granddaughters.
