Geraldine Marie Corbett, 79, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 3, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Craig Corbett. Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her daughter Terilynn (Corbett) Anderson and her husband, Timothy Anderson; her daughter, Lori Corbett; her son, Craig A. Corbett; and her precious grandchildren, Kathryn (Anderson) Nelson, Kyla Anderson, and Matthew and Riley Corbett. She is also survived by her siblings, Barbara Mulcahy, Carol (Mulcahy) Bragg, and the families of both her brothers, Robert Mulcahy and Edward Mulcahy as well as many nieces and nephews.
Born on November 26, 1946, in Waterbury, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Elvira Angela (Zipoli) Mulcahy and Edward Mulcahy. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Irving Mulcahy and her nephew, James G. Pierpont, Jr.
Geri attended Wilby High School and went on to dedicate her life to her family, serving as the steady heart of her home. She found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved and in time spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was an avid reader, particularly of historical fiction, and took great pleasure in learning about other cultures. She loved cooking, trying new cuisines, playing games with family, and traveling. Among her most treasured memories were her trips to Europe and Prince Edward Island, Canada, shared with family and dear friends.
Geri’s warmth, kindness, and quiet strength shaped the lives of those around her. Mom, we are so grateful for every moment we had with you. Thank you for your love, your guidance, and the countless ways you cared for us. We will miss you more than words can express, and we will carry you in our hearts every day. We love you, always.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Church, 1263 West Street, Middlebury. Family and friends are kindly asked to be seated by 9:45 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family, and there are no calling hours.
