Mrs. Georgia (Cromer) Young, 101, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov.22nd, 2010 at Mattatuck Health Care Facility. She was the wife of the late Rev. A.C. Young.
She was born in the Rock House Community of Stokes County, North Carolina on March 28, 1909, daughter of the late Wilburn and Phoebe Kiser Cromer.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Naugle and her husband, John, of Waterbury; her two granddaughters Erin Scozzafava and her husband, Brian, of Waterbury and Stacey Carlson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Waterbury; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Annie Carlson, and Lily Scozzafava; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in North Carolina.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Clade, Will, Irvin, Hardin, and Pete Cromer and nine sisters, Ola Stoltz, Martha Beck, Agnes Cromer, Treva Allen, Lula Darnell, Maggie Chambers, Elsie Caudle, Katherine Bovender, and Evelyn Fulp.
