Obituary

George H Kocher passed away peacefully on October 18, 2009 in Connecticut. He was born on May 15, 1954 in Chur, Switzerland to Josef and Dora Kocher. He was a graduate of L'Ecole Hotelier in Lausanne, Switzerland, and began his career in the Private Club Industry, where he was responsible for Operations, Development, and International Negotiations, which allowed him to combine his passion for world travel with business. Consistent with his passion for flying, he became a pioneer in the Fractional Jet Industry in 1997 beginning with Raytheon Travel Air and ending his career as Vice President of Sales with Citation Air. He divided his time between New York City and Woodbury, Connecticut. He was an avid Harley enthusiast, internationally trained chef, and devoted family man. He derived simple pleasure from riding his prized John Deere tractor on the weekends.
He is survived by his mother Dora, sister Doris, wife Deborah, son Michael, daughters Ashley, Melanie, and Lauren, beloved dogs Oliver and Romeo, and his favorite steed Rio.
