Mr. George G. Smith, 97, of 410 Flanders Rd., passed away peacefully July 31, 2008 at Wolcott View Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of Stella (Happy) Smith.
Mr. Smith worked, lived and was schooled in Naugatuck before moving to his cherished Woodbury home. At his home he enjoyed the wonders of nature, bird watching, gardening and spending precious moments with his wife, children, grandchildren and neighbors.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Richard and wife Sheila of Middlebury, a daughter Nancy of Nashua, NH and a daughter Lynn and her husband Joseph of Fairfield, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Services: A private funeral mass was celebrated at St. Theresa's Church in Woodbury. A memorial service will be planned at the convenience of the family.
