Geoffrey (Jeff) A. Gruneberg of Brookfield – 61, died unexpectedly December 2, 2020, at Hartford Hospital. He was born March 20, 1959 in Danbury, the son of the late Rudy and Margaret (Fisher) Gruneberg.

Jeff graduated from Brookfield High School, Class of 1977. Jeff's free time was spent hunting and observing wildlife. He enjoyed watching Nascar and motocross. Jeff was known for frequenting flea markets searching for the next DIY project and gardening. Jeff was an amazing father, Grandfather AKA Pop-Pop and friend. He was always willing to drop whatever he was doing to help out family and friends in need. Jeff was a jack of all trades. If he didn't know how to do something, he would learn quick and effortlessly. Jeff started his own business (Jeff's Upholstery) at a young age. Jeff was such a talented upholsterer; he once was hired to upholster the seats for USA's Olympic Bobsled Team. Later he was hired by Enhance-a-Colour as the head upholsterer and fabricator.

Jeff is survived by daughter Nicole (Frank) Rotovnik of Brookfield, Alisha Gruneberg of Woodbury, his two grandsons Derek and Jaxon Buonocore and their father Ryan Buonocore of Woodbury. He is also survived by his sister Judith (George) York of South Carolina, niece and nephew Samantha of Boston and Jeffrey (Priyanka) of Georgia, his Uncle Robert Fisher, Aunt Lillian Covill and ex-wife Joann (Angelastro) Gruneberg all of Brookfield.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday December 6th, at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. N, Southbury, CT 06488 from 3 - 5 p.m. Covid rules apply to all those who plan to attend. Jeff will be later buried alongside his parents at Central Cemetery Brookfield, CT.
