Gene (Zeppi) Iseppi, 93, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Shady Knoll Rest Home in Seymour after a lengthy illness. Gene leaves his loving wife Lucy, his son Gene (Butch), daughter-in-law Kendra, grandson Matthew and his wife Nika and great granddaughter Maren. He also leaves his loving niece Doris Torok and her children. A devoted patriot, Gene was very proud of his service in the Army and to his country during WW II. He served in the European Theater's Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor. A life-long resident of Fairfield, he worked for the Stauffer Chemical Co. He was well known in the Fairfield area for his horticultural knowledge. He was a long time member and past president in 1968 and 1973 of the Fairfield County Horticultural Society.

Services: Funeral mass Thursday, March 15 at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Dr., Fairfield. Burial is private.
