Gary D. Marquis 64 of Southbury, Connecticut son of Catherine Marquis and late Donald R. Marquis passed away May 27, 2025. Born in Danbury, Connecticut, and graduate of Danbury High school class of 1978.

Gary spent many years working with pride and dedication as a member of the I.B.E.W union, local 488. A tradesman by nature. He was a kind and caring man known for a sharp wit and obsession with a good cup of black coffee. Gary was athletic and played many years of football. He had an unwavering loyalty to the New York Giants and in his free time Gary found peace in the outdoors, you could likely find him off-road with a fishing pole.

Gary is survived by his former spouse, Tammy Marquis and his loving children, son, Colby Marquis, daughter Kiely Marquis (Matthews) her husband Kevin. His longtime partner, Susan Gladding, and her children, Jessica and Mandi Somerset. His cherished grandchildren, Evan Marquis, Jason and Anthony Miles. He is also survived by his brothers Scott Marquis and wife Marlene their children Lauren and Michael of Spring, Texas, Chris Marquis wife Sara and their children Andrew and Ethan of Southbury, Connecticut. Gary's memory will live on through the family and friends who loved him dearly and cherished many memories of him. Visiting hours will be on Monday June 2, 2025 from 6pm-8pm at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home 235 Main St. North, Southbury, CT 06488.
