Gail Noakes

Gail Ann Noakes, age 69, of Woodbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Born on August 13, 1956 to the late Albert Leslie and Mary Houle Noakes, she graduated from Nonnewaug High School and went on to receive her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and J.D. from Suffolk University in Boston where she worked and resided for many years before returning to Woodbury. In her retirement, Gail enjoyed camping, gardening and occasional trips to Mohegan Sun.

She is survived by her longtime companion Russ Cristofano and his daughter Lisa of Woodbury with whom she resided, her sisters Karen and Kathy Noakes, Cheryl Fonville and her husband Byron of Palmer, MA, sister-in-law Lynn Noakes of Middlebury and her niece Melanie Fonville of Dover, NH. She is predeceased by her brother Bruce of Middlebury. 

As per Gail's wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of her life will be held by her family at a later date.
