Frederick William Villinger, 81, of 86 Plumb Brook Road, Woodbury, died April 7, 2007. He was the husband of Harriet (DeVarney) Villinger, formerly of Derby. The Villingers made their home in Orange prior to retiring to Woodbury. Mr. Villinger was born November 14, 1925 in Derby, son of the late Adolph and Alice Villinger. He attended school in Derby and in his early years worked on the Villinger family farm on Sentinel Hill in Derby. Mr. Villinger also worked for 33 years for the New Haven Regional Water Authority. Besides his wife of 45 years, he is survived by a daughter, Bette Jayne Collins of Santa Ana, CA ; two sisters, Dorothy (Villinger) Winkle and her husband Chris F. Winkle III and Jean (Villinger) Mitchell and her husband Kenneth E. Mitchell Sr., all of Orange; 2 grandchildren, Esther and Spencer Collins; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Services and burial are private at the convenience of the family. No calling hours.
