Frederick A. Stango Sr., 90, of Southbury, CT, passed away peacefully on March 23rd after a brief illness.  Fred was born in Waterbury on September 21, 1934 to the late Andrew and Sophie (Santucci) Stango.

It was in Waterbury that Fred married Barbara (Diorio) and raised his five children.  After retiring Fred and Barbara settled in Southbury, CT.

In addition to his wife Barbara of 68 years, Fred is survived by his loving children, Sandra (Donald) Laliberte of Thomaston, Judy (Frank) Pepper of Roxbury, Frederick Jr. (Susan) of Old Saybrook, Karen Narciso of Torrington, and Kathy (Peter) Irrek of Southington.  He is also survived by his grandson Anthony Narciso and his partner Kelly Harrison of Torrington, his brother-in-law Paul (Barbara) Diorio of Colne, Lancashire, England, and many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.  Fred was predeceased by his sister Felicia Moriarty and brothers-in-law Patrick Moriarty and Sonny Diorio.
