WOODBURY- Mr. Frederick Wade Meeker, 80, passed away peacefully at his home. He was husband of Mary B. Meeker
Mr. Meeker was born May 28, 1926 in Fairfield, CT, son of the late William E. and Fannie (Wade) Meeker. He retired from the Lewis Corporation in Oxford and was a WW II veteran, serving in the US Navy aboard the USS Camberra.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter Deborah Wallenta and her husband Alan of Middlebury, a two sons Fred Meeker and his wife Tina of Shelton and Raymond Meeker and his wife Elisa of Beacon Falls, three grandchildren, Kelli Meeker of Fairfield, Jodi Ball and her husband John of Ansonia and Samantha Meeker of Beacon Falls, one great grandson, Timothy James of Ansonia.
He also is survived by two sisters Nancy Ziobro of Seymour and Bet Gindek and her husband John of Murrells Inlet, SC, two brothers, Robert Meeker and his wife Evie of Surfside Beach, SC and Bruce Meeker and his wife Nancy of Fairfield, a sister in-law Frances Baker and her husband Vern. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, all services will be private. The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St. is in charge of arrangements.
