Mr. Fred St. Pierre, 81, of Southbury died Tuesday December 1st at The Springs at The WaterMark at East Hill. He was the husband of Muriel (Crosby) St. Pierre for over 61 years.
Mr. St. Pierre was born December 9, 1928 in Woodbury in his family's Main Street South home, son of the late Fortuna and Mary (O'Reilly) St. Pierre. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Woodbury. Fred was President and part owner of St. Pierre Oil Company, Inc and a member of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association. He was also a lifetime member and Chief Engineer of the Woodbury Fire Department. Woodbury's first fire truck was housed in St. Pierre's garage.
Fred was a member and past President of the Woodbury Lion's Club and a member of King Solomon's Lodge and was a 32 degree Mason. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites, the Shrine Club and the Royal Order of Jesters. He was a past member of the Kaabans Club in Watertown and the Zem Zem Club in Torrington. He was also a past member of the Watertown Golf Club and Captain's Golf Club in Brewster, MA. He enjoyed fishing at Moosehead Lake in Maine, his antique cars, golfing with old school buddies and his home away from home in Brewster, Cape Cod.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three daughters, Audrey Jannetty and her husband Richard of Southbury, Shirley Burnett and her husband Steve of Southbury and Marjorie St. Pierre of Southbury, a sister Margorie Hawxhurst of Woodbury, four grandchildren, Natalie Jaramillo and her husband Alejandro, Angela Villadolid and her huband Albert, Erika Jannetty and Michael Burnett, a great granddaughter Maya Elizabeth Jaramillo and several nieces and nephews.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Monday December 7, 2009 at 10 am at First Congregational Church, 214 Main Street South in Woodbury. Burial will follow in New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
Visitation: Friends may call at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., on Sunday December 6, 2009 from 3: 00 - 6: 00pm.
