Frank Joseph Martinelli, 81, of Roxbury, CT passed away peacefully August 5th, 2026, after a long illness.

Frank came from humble beginnings. As a young man he worked at the Foundry in New Milford and for the W. J. Megin Company of Naugatuck. He learned skills at these two businesses that he would use throughout his career.

Frank was a natural athlete, and he played football for a flag football league out of Danbury. It was while playing Football that he met Marion (Mimi). They married and with the addition of their children, Karen and Jason, the family was complete.

Frank was driven to do the best he could for his family. He started Good Hill Plumbing in 1971, out of the basement of the home he built in Woodbury, with Mimi as the bookkeeper. They soon hired Richie Masterson and with the two working together, the little company Frank and Mimi built grew. The current company, Good Hill Mechanical Services, Inc., occupies the building at 53 Main Street South in Woodbury, a building Frank proudly renovated.

Over the years Frank purchased and renovated buildings on Main Street including what is now TD Bank. He worked hard throughout his life to make everything he engaged in successful. But that was not all he was. Outside of his career Frank was an ace golfer. He could have gone pro, but he chose his family and his business instead. He continued to play and found joy in teaching others the game. Frank had a love for classic Porsche's and auto racing.

Frank never lost his sense of where he came from. He was kind and generous. He helped those in need, not for attention, it was truly from his heart. From his generosity at the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, supporting local churches, to his support of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, Frank gave back.

Above all Frank loved his family. He worked hard to provide his children with a great education, and he taught them to work hard and take care of the things you value most. For Frank, his family was what he valued most. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Marion (Mimi), daughter Karen and her husband Todd, son Jason, and his wife Julie, his four beloved grandchildren Brody, Maeson, Mia and Allegra.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday August 22, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, CT.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating in Frank's memory to the Hole in the Wall Gang camp, or St Jude's Children’s Hospital.
