Mr. Francis A. Jolott, 94, of Southbury died Monday November 4, 2013 at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. He was the husband of Carolyn Jolott.
Mr. Jolott was born April 13, 1919, a son of the late Edith Smith Jolott and John Jolott and was a lifelong resident of Southbury. He worked on the railroad before serving in the Army during WWII in Panama as a Tec5, QMC from September 1942 - January 1946. Upon returning from Panama, he worked as an electrician at the New Haven Copper Company in Seymour until his retirement. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles and was an avid Yankee fan. He also played minor league baseball and was Southbury's oldest lifelong WWII resident.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Bobbie)
Jolott Hanley of Oxford and Edith Jolott Valerio and her husband Dominick of Palmdale, CA, and their mother, Hazel Klein Haight of Troy, ME, 7 grandchildren, Bobby, Penny, Tracy, Chuck, Tara, Jessica and Emma, 15 great grandchildren and his stepsons, Kenneth and William Smith. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Jolott and Lois Jolott and 2 sons, Francis J. Jolott and Joseph E. Jolott.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Friday November 8th at 5pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
Visitation: Friends may call at the funeral home from 3pm until the time of service.
