Woodbury- Frances Fran Smith, 86, of Woodbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2025.

Born in France, she immigrated to the United States at six. She worked at the Hartford Armory from 1956, retiring in 1997 as a fiscal accounting supervisor. Frances married Robert "Smitty" Smith on July 23, 1966, celebrating 59 years of marriage in 2024. She played a significant role in raising her two stepsons, Ron and Bobby and embraced life with joy, nurturing her family. An avid traveler and gardener, she enjoyed fast cars, especially her red 1972 240Z, and cherished her dog Sparky.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Smith; stepson, Ron, and daughter-in-law Claudia: sisters, Lillian, and Andrea; grandchildren, Heather, and Joshua; and great-grandchildren, Millie and Waylon.

Family and friends may gather on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, CT. Funeral services will be private.
