Mrs. Frances D. Lynch, 73, of Heritage Village died Friday April 6th at Bethel Health Care Center. She was the widow of Farrell J. Lynch.
Mrs. Lynch was born February 17, 1934 in Danbury, CT daughter of the late Olindo and Antoinette (Salese) DeFlumeri. She graduated from Danbury High School before attending Western Connecticut State University where she received her degree in Elementary Education in 1955. She taught for many years at St. Gregory the Great School in Danbury. She also worked for the City of Danbury. Her most current job was with the Danbury Parks and Recreational Department until retiring to Southbury. She spent her time volunteering with numerous organizations and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four children, David Lynch and his wife Vicky of Danbury, Sarah Case and her husband Michael of Mesa, AZ, Susan Cutrone and her husband Ron of Naugatuck and Pat Danise of Port St. Lucie, FL, a sister Rosine Mims of Brookfield, twelve grandchildren Craig, Kyle, Kenneth, Kara and Ciara Lynch, Garrett and Cole Case, Katelyn, Fred, and James Danise, Michael and Amy Cutrone, one great-grandchild Alyssa Furtado and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Vincent DeFlumeri and her twin sister Anne DeFlumeri.
A memorial gathering will be held Monday April 9th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday April 10th at 10am at St. Teresa's Church, Woodbury. Burial is at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Teresa's Expansion Campaign, PO Box A, Woodbury, CT 06798 or to Regional Hospice, 405 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810.
